Cultures all around the world entertain similar mythology regarding butterflies and the human soul. Insects don’t seem to do much for humanity besides bug oneself during day to day activities, and yet they are the very foundation of our natural life support system.
In the last 50 years there has been a 50% decrease in the total number of bodies of insects. This predicts a disaster that could impact humanity as much if not more so than climate concern.
However. We have the tools available for enacting the actions required for positive influence.
Calling all citizen scientists to get involved and support our planet by using the platform called INATURALIST.
You take a picture of a bug, bird or snake and an AI (artificial intelligence) then verifies, dates and geolocates that observation. Your data and scientific research creates the community science where the purpose is to do something for our commons together.
Citizen science is an invaluable tool for social and environmental justice.
You need to have data,
Show an image or proof,
Point to the cause,
And then support that problem or project by working towards a solution.
